Restore a Backup
Install Backup Client
  • Click "Windows" under Download client software.

  • Click "Any CPU" under "Download for...". Depending on your browser you may need to confirm the download by clicking "Save" or "Save File" and then "OK".

  • Navigate to where you saved the file, right click it and then click "Extract All..."

  • Click "Extract"

  • Double click the extracted "install" file and then Click "Yes" on the Windows prompt that comes up. 

  • Select a language and click "OK".
  • Once you have read  the License Agreement accept it by clicking "I Agree".

  • Click "Install".

  • Click "Next".

  • Click "Finish".

  • A Sign in window will pop up, enter your username and password and click "Sign in".

  • Enter a Device name of your choice and click "Register". You have successfully downloaded & installed the SAFER Cloud Backup client.
Setup Backup Client
  • Open the SAFER Cloud Backup client by double clicking the SAFER Cloud Backup shortcut on your desktop.
  • Click "+ Add Protected Item".
  • Type a name of your choice for the backup and click "Next".
  • Click the "+" icon.
  • Click the down arrow to show the files on your local drive.
  • Choose the folders you want to protect. In this example we will choose all folders to backup everything on the drive. Then click "OK".
  • Click "Next".
  • Click "Next".
  • Click the "+" icon.
  • Enter a name of choice for your backup schedule and then click the "Time" tab..
  • Click the "+" icon.
  • Select your desired backup schedule. We have chosen "Daily" for this example and then click "OK".
  • We would recommend checking the "When PC starts, if the last job was Missed" option. Then click "Save".
  • Click "Next".
  • Retention can be adjusted on this page. We will leave it at unlimited for this example but it can be adjusted by clicking the edit icon to the right of the Storage Vault.
  • You have successfully setup a Backup! If you want to "Run a backup now" leave it checked and then click "Finish".
Restore a Backup

  • Open the SAFER Cloud Backup client by double clicking the SAFER Cloud Backup shortcut on your desktop.
  • Click "Restore".
  • Click "Next".
  • Click the "Arrow" next to the Protected item that you want to restore. Then click the snapshot of the item you want to restore based on it's Backup date. Click "Next".
  • Choose the items you want to restore. We selected "All items" for this example but if you choose "Select items.." you can choose individual folders and files. Click "Next".

Click the "Browse" button to select where you want to restore files and then click "Restore". Success! Your backup will now restore.
